Movie TV and Ghostly Galavant

Quote: “Everyone, dead or alive, returns to New Orleans. If people can’t come back in their lifetimes they come back when they are dead.” Andrei Codrescu

Join us for a 4-in-1, movie, TV, voodoo and ghost tour of “The Most Haunted City in America”, New Orleans. The tour duration is 2 hours and you will visit locations where iconic scenes have been filmed in great TV series, such as American Horror Story, The Originals, NCIS, Interview with a Vampire, JFK, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Pelican Brief and Runaway Jury, just to name a few. You will recognize many of these famous sites from these popular historic sites and spooky locations at first glance!

This is no ordinary New Orleans movie or ghost tour! The tour will meander through the 18th-century historic buildings and a different story awaits at each stop. Licensed tour guides lead all the walking tours. The movie, TV, voodoo and Ghostly Galavant is truly an unforgettable experience.

About the Tour

This 2-hour tour will commence at the rear of the old Louisiana Court of Appeals and your tour guide will get stared right away with memorable movie sites, including the Court of Appeals building. Looking out from the court house, you will spy a frequent setting used in the popular vampire/werewolf/witches TV series, The Originals – the restaurant where Cami worked. Live and Let Die, NCIS New Orleans, JFK, Pelican Brief and Runaway Jury were filmed in this area.

You only have to walk halfway down the block to see where a scene from the 2017 Halloween episode of NCIS New Orleans was filmed. A few feet away is the site of the exhumation of Madame LaLaurie in American Horror Story. Then, simply turn around and look across the street to see a true crime location, where a young man committed suicide. To this day, people get great ghost/physic photos from the residual that takes places here.

The stunning Jackson Square in the French Quarter is the next destination, and it has been the backdrop for many scenes from TV show and movies, including NCIS New Orleans, The Originals, Runaway Jury, Interview With a Vampire and others.

We will then walk down Pirate’s Alley, another major film location in New Orleans. Your tour guide will point out where locations from NCIS New Orleans, The Originals and Lolita were filmed. A ghost or two have been known to show up for certain tour groups!

In the rear of St. Louis Cathedral stands one of the New Orleans’ most well-known landmarks, Touchdown Jesus. It’s also the filming location for Pelican Brief. Next we will head over to the Bourbon Orleans Hotel and talk about the quadroon balls, as well as the ghost of a young lady who still haunts that hotel.

The next stop is portrayed as the entrance to the NCIS headquarters. Many NCIS New Orleans fans have searched the city high and low for this spot, but it can be hard to spot! Around the corner is a famous diner where scenes from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button were filmed.

We will then stop down the street at the New Orleans Voodoo Museum, where you will learn the origin of New Orleans Voodoo.

Your group will follow this up with a walk down the street where Interview with a Vampire and 12 Years a Slave were filmed.

The tour guide will even show you where Elvis Presley filmed King Creole in 1958 before heading off to a famous street corner where you will be introduced to even more film locations from The Originals, Angel Heart and Focus, as wells as the classic film Lolita.

Your tour comes to its next stop, the Lalaurie mansion, perhaps better known as the setting for American Horror Story. This is the most popular haunted house in New Orleans.

You will leave the LaLaurie mansion and head down to the famous French Market, where the SyFy Ghost Hunters once filmed an episode. Finally, we will head to the last stop in the French Market – one of the oldest restaurants in the United States, that also happens to be very haunted. For those who don’t believe in ghosts or life after death, you may change your mind after seeing video and pictures from this highly haunted adventure!

Your movie and ghostly galavant ends in the French Market.
